Brandon was born Brandon James Dunn to Karen Yaworski & Thomas Dunn in Kingston, Ontario on August 25, 1983. At the age of 3 his last name was legally changed to Yaworski.
Brandon attended school In Kingston until Grade 1, when his Mom, sister, and he moved to Calgary, Alberta, where Brandon attended school until grade 10. He moved to Orillia, Ontario to pursue a trade when he was 15 years old. He remained there, until he moved to Kingston at age 18, where he passed away at age 20, on July 10, 2004. He is survived by his daughter, Emma, his parents, Dave & Karen Morgan, and his sister, Tera, as well as many relatives on all sides of his very extended family.
Brandon was a very active child and grew to be an even more active adult. He was passionate about cars, BMX bikes, sports and all things macho and manly. He was a man's man, and never failed to impress us all by giving everything more power! Brandon especially loved driving, so much and so recklessly, that he was destined for a career in the automotive industry, which he was pursuing in auto mechanics at the time of his passing.
He had a great sense of humor and was always cracking a joke, or pulling a prank or just being outright silly. He was a loving father figure to his girlfriend's son, as well as a caring individual to whomever his life touched.
There were many factors involved in Brandon's death. So much so that it took over a year before we had any clue as to why this strong, strapping young man suddenly collapsed one day and stopped breathing. As it turned out, Brandon had a genetic condition called Hyperhomocysteinemia, which is passed down on his biological father's side. This is a disease that resembles cardiovascular disease in older men, and it caused Brandon's arteries to become clogged and resemble those of a 50 year old man instead of a 20 year old boy. Brandon was also taking the medication Dexedrine to treat his ADHD, which caused his heart to speed up and work harder. Another factor was a very common but sometimes deadly problem, an abscessed tooth. Brandon's tooth infection spread into his bloodstream and eventually reached his heart and helped to cripple it.
After all these things came into play, Brandon caught pneumonia, and that seemed to be the straw that broke the camel's back, so to speak. Brandon came home one day, and suddenly collapsed and stopped breathing. He was resuscitated by the local Paramedics, but it had been an extraordinarily long time since Brandon had taken a breath and it was not a question of if he had sustained brain damage, but rather a question of how much. Brandon never regained consciousness, and after 3 days in the hospital, surrounded by his loved ones, Brandon suffered brain death, and as per his wishes, he was declared dead and his organs donated to the M.O.R.E., foundation. He was buried on July 13, 2004 and lies in his final resting place at Cataraqui Cemetery in Kingston, Ontario.
He is greatly missed.
